Ivy Tech to offer a course in Achieving Leadership and Supervisory Excellence

KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College will be offering a course in Achieving Leadership and Supervisory Excellence. The course will run in Kokomo beginning Feb. 11 through its Department of Workforce and Economic Development.

The eight-week Achieving Leadership and Supervisory Excellence series helps develop the necessary skills for those seeking a leadership role in a company. The series will include a personality assessment using the Extended DISC® System which is designed to provide decision-makers with information about individuals; their behavioral style, strengths, development areas, skills, opinions, perceptions and expectations. Topics will include examining the role of manager; mastering the tools of management; managing and resolving conflict; legal considerations of management; communicating for results, and managing change. A certificate of completion will be awarded upon completion of the course.

The course will run on Fridays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Feb. 11 – April 1. The cost is $425.
