Tour de Trike race to benefit United Way of Cass County

Community leaders to participate in second Tour de Trike at Ivy Tech Logansport

LOGANSPORT, Ind.—Ivy Tech Community College Logansport will host the second annual Tour de Trike race on campus beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Several teams will compete in the Tour de Trike to raise funds for the United Way of Cass County. Among the teams are the returning champions, Logansport Police Department. Danny Farris of the police department returned the traveling trophy to the campus and stated, “We will be here on October 8 and will be taking the trophy back with us.” Ivy Tech Logansport Campus President Kevin Bostic responded, “Sounds like a challenge!”

In the United Way fundraiser, each team will be seeking donations and for every dollar raised, the team will start one foot in front of the starting line on the north parking lot of Ivy Tech’s Logansport campus. Costumes, shirts, fans, hecklers, cheerleaders and co-workers are all welcome to attend the greatest spectacle in trike racing.

“Please help support your favorite team by making a generous donation,” Bostic said. “One hundred percent of all donations will be given to the United Way.”
