KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Corporate College is offering two sessions of its Certified Production Technician (CPT) training this fall. Students who earn the certification, which can be completed in eight weeks, are armed with a credential that qualifies them for the advanced manufacturing jobs available now and the opportunity to grow with the industry in the future.
The training will be offered at Ivy Tech’s Kokomo campus Oct. 7 to Nov. 26, in daily class sessions Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. The training also will be available in Logansport Oct. 28 to Dec. 20, in daily class sessions meeting from 1 to 5 p.m. The CPT certification training covers four critical areas: Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Processes and Maintenance.
“CPT certification is a credential that is industry-recognized and portable with a short-term investment of time but potential long-term employment benefits,” said Jennifer Hughes, program manager for Ivy Tech Corporate College. “Earning this credential is a way to set you apart from other job seekers and it’s training on a schedule that is both convenient and fast!”
