Ivy Tech Community College to hold 4th annual Thunder Run scholarship fundraiser

Ivy Tech Community College announced it will hold its 4th annual “Thunder Run Day at the Track” event to raise money for statewide student scholarships.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson, Ind. Proceeds from this year’s event will directly benefit the First Responders’ scholarship fund at Ivy Tech Community College for future fire fighters, police officers, emergency medical technicians and paramedics.

Participants who give a $10 contribution to the Ivy Tech Foundation will receive a free track-side picnic and a $10 casino voucher. Participants must be 21 years of age or older. Trackside check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. The picnic will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. From there, attendees are invited to enjoy the rest of the fun-filled afternoon at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino!

Last year’s event raised more than $10,000 statewide for student scholarships and included Ivy Tech supporters from across the state. The public is invited for an exciting day of horse racing and casino play!
