Ivy Tech to offer several orientation sessions for new students

KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College will be offering several New Student Orientation sessions during the month of February for new, first-time, degree-seeking students who plan to start college during the upcoming summer or fall semesters. The sessions are just one of many new initiatives that were instituted during the past year as part of the college’s status as an Achieving the Dream college — a nationwide effort to improve retention and completion rates in community colleges across the country.

Below are the dates, times and locations of the New Student Orientation sessions that are scheduled for February:

Feb. 2           3 p.m.
Feb. 4           2:30 p.m.
Feb. 9           3 p.m.
Feb. 11         2:30 p.m.
Feb. 16         3 p.m.
Feb. 23         3 p.m.
Feb. 25         2:30 p.m.

Feb. 10         3 p.m.
Feb. 16         8:30 a.m.
Feb. 22         5 p.m.

To register for an orientation session at the Logansport campus, call (866) 753-5102.  

Feb. 3           6 p.m.
Feb. 4           1 p.m.
Feb. 7           10 a.m.
Feb. 11         1 p.m.
Feb. 17         6 p.m.
Feb. 18         1 p.m.
Feb. 21         10 a.m.
Feb. 24         6 p.m.
Feb. 28         10 a.m.

The New Student Orientation sessions are mandatory for all new, first-time degree-seeking students. Pre-registration is required. The orientation sessions are standard throughout the region, so students may attend a session at a campus other than the one they plan to attend.
