Ivy Tech to offer a Certified Logistics Technician course

KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College will be offering a Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) course in Kokomo through its Department of Workforce and Economic Development. For those who qualify, funding is available for CLT training through a Department of Labor grant for unemployed, underemployed or dislocated workers in Cass, Howard, Miami or Tipton counties.

The CLT course builds off the Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certification course. The course focuses on product receiving and storage, order processing, packaging and shipment, inventory control, safe handling of hazardous materials, evaluation of transportation modes, dispatch and tracking.

The course will be offered from 2 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 – 25, March 1 – 4, 8 – 11, and 15 – 16. The course fee is $895. All instructional materials and certifications are included.
