KOKOMO, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College, in partnership with the Alliance of Indiana Rural Water, will be offering a Wastewater Treatment Certification Preparation course through its Department of Workforce and Economic Development. The class will run on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Feb. 19, March 5 and 19 and April 2 and 16, in Kokomo.
The course is designed to train operators in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants. Operators will gain an understanding of the basic operational aspects of their plant and learn how to analyze and solve operational problems. This class will help prepare the student for Class A and Class B Certification (Industrial) and Class 1 and Class 2 Operator Certification (Municipal). This class has been approved by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).
